Translational Cardiorespiratory Research Lab

The Paton Translational Cardiorespiratory Research Laboratory explores how the autonomic nervous system integrates and regulates the cardiovascular and respiratory systems. We are interested in how and why these mechanisms fail, contributing to cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension, arrhythmia, and diabetes. Our goal is to reduce the incidence of cardiovascular disease and generate novel treatment options to improve patient health and wellbeing.
